Hi everyone my name is zakaria, i’m from Morocco and i’m a state engineer graduated from Agronomic and Veterinary Institute of Hassan II in Rabat, i had the chance to work on aquaponic systems in my final graduating project, also i successfully completed and received a passing grade in Aquaponics – the circular food production system a course of study offered by ZHAWx, an online learning initiative of ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences. Thanks Jon, Brian and to the team that pulled off a great conference. A lot of information could be gathered. Could not network enough but am sure we will soon be able to getting to know of each other. Very happy to have taken up the membership and be part of the ever-growing aquaponic community. I am sure this membership will be of immense benefit. I am based in Gaborone, Botswana and am proud of my 20-month old home-based aquaponics system that has matured very nicely in a greenhouse. I am still learning new things regularly about aquaponics.

We have operations in 11 countries and still everyday there is something new to learn. Hi everyone!

Nice to be a part of this community. I’m Pierre Foucard, from France. I work as a R&D engineer/project manager in aquaculture through a french research program made with different technical and research institutions.

We work on different topics:
-Data acquisition on nutrient flows dynamics inside an aquaponics system
-Evaluation of phyto-bioremediation performance of aquaponics
-Development of design tool through a mathematical model
-Data acquisition on yield, nutritional and sensorial quality of the products
-Test of different plants cultivation systems
-Valorization and/or post treatment of solid compounds (aquaculture sludges)
-Life Cycle Analysis approach (LCA)
-Techno economical approaches

Thank you Brian, Jon and everyone in the AA team to host such an educative conference form a broad range of highly passionate speakers. My name is Mayu and I joined in from Australia. I work as an analyst in the Macau casino industry although with the current border restrictions, I am working remotely from home in Wagga Wagga, NSW.

I am at an infancy stage of my AQ knowledge and am putting together a business plan that will help me move closer to spending my life that’s revolved around contributing to our society.

I look forward to engage in discussions and learn from the members of AQ community.

That level of reporting for your sessions is actually a very expensive upgrade from hopin itself that we’re not hoping into… So we don’t have access to that unfortunately. Screenshots should be good tho!

Hello Hamid,
When I was talking about partnerships it meant that we seek for building research programs and collaboration between researchers on aquaculture/aquaponics. We are not meant to provide training or direct technical assistance to growers worldwide…!
Take a look at the wide documentation on aquaponics that you can find online, there is a lot of documents to read just on typing the right keywords.

This is a suggestion @Pierre_Foucard , @jon : I think it would be great if we can develop a catalogue of aquaponic farms/Universities/community centres that we can partner with for trainings. So that such people like @Hamid can find a training centre close to his location in Morocco. I know a few people (even on this platform, myself inclusive) who will benefit from such arrangements. Maybe the leadership of this AA community could look into that.

Our Affiliate Membership is similar to this… we are working on improving it so users can sort between the different affiliates for whatever equipment or services they offer, and their locations.
