I need help. At our elementary school we have a small self-contained aquaponics garden. It’s run by a single solar panel and also deep cycle batteries. It ran flawlessly for about 4 years. Then, this last year I had to disassemble very quickly it due to construction. When I reassemble it, I couldn’t get it to work off the batteries, so the pump only ran during the day. Some punks, came in after school and pulled all the wires out, so now nothing works. When I plug in the battery cables to solar charge controller, I get an error message but the batteries are fully charged, so I can’t move any further. Please help! I’m a poor teacher with no electrical experience.

Find out what the error code is by looking on the manufacturer’s website. Is the solar panel configuration still the same or is there any chance it experienced a change in wiring that feeds into the controller?
